Political Discussion Part 2/?

Since my last post didn't seem to garner many responses, (although it's here for those who need to read the rules or would like to participate,) I'm going to move on to my next question.

Please familiarise yourself with the rules if you're new to this discussion.

What are your issues with Sarah Palin being our next Vice President?

Issues may be problems you have or things you think are wonderful about her. I just couldn't think of a better way to phrase this. Also, no discussion of her as President. Leave McCain's mortality out of this.

The main issue I have with her is that she doesn't know what the hell she's doing. I mean, for pete's sake, she didn't do her damn research about what the hell a VP does! She doesn't know anything about politics that isn't fed to her by McCain's handlers. Being a VP is a helluva lot more important than being a governor of a state where hardly anyone lives there.

In my honest opinion, McCain chose her because he wanted to pander to all the butthurt Hillary supporters who were pissed that Obama got the nomination, without even properly seeing if she was fit for the job and knew her stuff. The problem is, McCain didn't do his research properly, either. I mean, he could have chosen a woman with much more experience and intelligence (Condoleeza Rice comes to mind).

Same issue I'd have with any Republican, mainly. We differ on policy and worldview.

Interestingly, the main issues with Palin in particular seem to be ones that keep being brought up about Obama: lack of experience, connections to somewhat iffy church leaders, etc.

Also, though this is an irrelevance that wouldn't affect my choice as a voter, I still haven't stopped finding the names of her kids funny. Bristol especially. I've been to Bristol. Nice place, but I wouldn't name a kid after it.
